India Backs Peaceful Settlement for Ukraine Conflict and South China Sea Disputes, Affirms PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about India’s commitment to international law and peaceful resolutions to disputes. He addressed the war in Ukraine and China’s assertiveness in the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait. He said that India aims to act as a bridge between different voices and promote global peace and stability.

Modi reiterated that India is ready to help bring peace to Ukraine. He condemned the war and said that India upholds the UN Charter, international law, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Regarding Chinese assertiveness, Modi pointed to India’s approach in resolving land and maritime boundaries-related issues with Bangladesh. India is committed to protecting its sovereignty and promoting peaceful dispute resolutions based on international law.

Modi spoke about India’s quest for global peace and stability, saying that India will act as a bridge between different voices and promote a constructive agenda. As G20 chair, Modi aims to collaborate with G7 to tackle global challenges such as climate change, supply chain disruptions, economic recovery, energy instability, healthcare, food security, and peace and security.
