A fake baba who pretended to be an astrologer and used black magic to promise solutions to people’s problems and cure illnesses has been arrested in Hyderabad. The police seized Rs 14.65 lakh and materials used for black magic. The fake baba, identified as Sirigiri Manjunatha, was arrested following a complaint from a man named Kandhadi Srikanth Reddy. Manjunatha visited their house, convinced them that they had a problem that could be solved through a puja, and took Rs 2 lakh in cash. Reddy ended up paying a total of Rs 17 lakh before lodging a complaint and leading to Manjunatha’s arrest.
