A 40-year-old physician was attacked with a knife in her clinic in Tagore Garden Extension, West Delhi. The attack happened on a Saturday afternoon when an individual entered Dr. Sangay Bhutia’s clinic and assaulted her on the staircase. It’s important to note that Dr. Bhutia’s clinic is on the ground floor and she lives upstairs in the same building.
After the attack, the assailant quickly ran away, leaving the victim with multiple stab wounds. The police have stated that she is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital. A case of attempted murder is being registered, and the police have formed multiple teams to catch the suspect.
There doesn’t seem to be any evidence of robbery as a motive at this time. It is suspected that the attacker may know the victim, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet, according to the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
