The Election Commission of India (ECI) is preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections and has started meetings with State officials. However, there is a problem with the voter lists. Out of about 55 lakh voters in Hyderabad, nearly 9.55 lakh voters are not included in their original polling stations. This means that they may have difficulty voting unless the issue is fixed quickly.

The District Election Officer has requested permission from the ECI to fix this problem. In addition, there are nearly 35 lakh voters in districts of Ranga Reddy, Medchal, and Hyderabad who are not listed in their original polling stations. This issue needs to be resolved as soon as possible, as there are only a couple of months left before the election notification.

Many people may not be able to exercise their right to vote if this issue is not fixed on time. It remains to be seen whether the ECI will act quickly or wait until the last minute like they have done in the past.
