Hyderabad: TPCC Working President Jagga Reddy led a large rally in Sangareddy called “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” to protest against recent comments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah about Dr B R Ambedkar.

The rally started at the IB guest house and ended at the Ambedkar statue near the old bus stand. Many Congress leaders and workers joined the event, including DCC President Nirmala Jagga Reddy and constituency in-charge Shivasena Reddy.

During the rally, Jagga Reddy strongly criticized Amit Shah. He said that Ambedkar is deeply respected in India, comparing his importance to that of Lord Ram, Allah, and Jesus Christ. He added that Ambedkar gave the country a Constitution that ensures equality, freedom, and justice.

Reddy said that because of Ambedkar’s efforts, people in India can live with dignity today. He also pointed out that even leaders like Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah are in power due to the voting rights Ambedkar helped create.

He accused the BJP of not apologizing for Amit Shah’s remarks. “Rahul Gandhi asked for an unconditional apology, but so far neither Amit Shah nor PM Modi has replied,” Reddy stated. He warned that the Congress party would continue to protest across the country until an apology is given.

Jagga Reddy also accused BJP leaders of being disrespectful towards Ambedkar’s legacy.

Finally, he spoke about local issues and promised that the needs of the people in Sangareddy would be addressed with help from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi. He announced plans to hold a public meeting in Sangareddy soon to talk about development and hear directly from the people.
