In Hyderabad, PCC working president T Jagga Reddy stated that PM Narendra Modi’s success is mainly due to social media marketing, while he believes Rahul Gandhi is the true leader of progress. Reddy emphasized that Gandhi’s walkathons inspired by Mahatma Gandhi have established him as a respected leader.
During a media interaction at Gandhi Bhavan, the former Sangareddy MLA mentioned that Modi’s rise to Chief Minister of Gujarat was a result of party veteran Advani’s rath yatra. Reddy noted that before the rath yatra, Modi was relatively unknown and only became a CM with Advani’s approval.
Reddy highlighted the difference between Gandhi and Modi, pointing out that Gandhi has rejected top government positions while influencing the appointment of numerous Chief Ministers. He challenged BJP supporters to name any significant movements led by Modi before becoming PM, contrasting Gandhi’s advocacy for justice with Modi’s hunger for power.
Reddy referenced Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s historic walkathon. He praised Gandhi for uniting the nation through this mission, covering vast distances across India. Reddy also questioned the BJP’s claims of creating a Ram Rajya and asked if temple construction truly benefits the youth.
Overall, Reddy believes that Gandhi’s leadership style and dedication to social causes set him apart from Modi’s pursuit of power.
