A Dalit family in Mahabubnagar has accused followers of former minister Lakshmareddy of forcefully grabbing their land. This land is where the current government hospital is now built. The family claims that Lakshmareddy and his associates took over the land illegally without giving them any compensation.

Jadcherla MLA Janampally Anirudh Reddy has also accused Lakshmareddy and his associates of tampering with government land records. According to Anirudh Reddy, Lakshmareddy illegally took over land in survey number 149 of Jadcharla. He claims that this land, covering 7.33 acres, was registered in the names of Lakshmareddy’s relatives and followers.

Anirudh Reddy further explained that 22 pieces of land along the Kalwakarti Road were meant for road development by the government. However, these land parcels were also illegally registered in the names of Lakshmareddy’s associates instead of being used for the road.

In addition, Anirudh Reddy pointed out that some of the land meant for the construction of a government hospital was divided and sold illegally. He criticized the construction of walls that block access to a 33-foot-wide road that was supposed to lead to the hospital, claiming the road does not exist.

Anirudh also accused Lakshmareddy and his associates of taking land that was originally allocated to Dalits. He said the victims were forced to sign away their land rights under threats, and no compensation was given to them.

The MLA also criticized the placement of the government hospital. He claimed Lakshmareddy intentionally chose a low-lying area unsuitable for development to benefit his relatives and followers. He added that no proper permissions were obtained from municipal and irrigation authorities for the hospital’s construction.

Krishna Mohan, an official from the Irrigation Department, confirmed during the press meet that the hospital construction did not receive the required permissions. Anirudh Reddy ended by mocking Lakshmareddy for falsely presenting himself as a generous donor for offering land for the hospital, which was actually government land taken illegally.
