In Bhadradri Kothagudem district, the IFTU District President R. Madhusudan Reddy spoke at a meeting of key workers from the IFTU Manuguru area. He emphasized the importance of fighting against anti-labor policies and protecting workers’ rights.
Reddy highlighted how previous generations of workers fought for rights and laws, but governments have neglected to apply these laws and provide necessary facilities. He mentioned that laws have been divided into sections to benefit corporate powers at the expense of workers, leaving them without rights and making them feel like slaves.
The IFTU Manuguru Area Mahasabha will take place on the 16th of this month as part of the larger IFTU Mahasabha to strengthen labor movements. Leaders from various organizations, including the IFTU district leaders, president of progressive Singareni contract workers union, and Municipal Workers Union state leaders, also participated in the meeting.
