Junior Panchayat Secretaries in Rangareddy go on indefinite strike

Junior Panchayat Secretaries in Farooqnagar Mandal of Shadnagar constituency are on an indefinite strike. They are demanding that the Telangana State government fulfill its promise to regularize their jobs after four years of service, which is due by the 11th of this month. The Junior Panchayat Secretary Sangh President, Shri Ram, is leading the strike.

If the government does not respond, the junior panchayat secretaries announced that they will continue their strike for a longer period. Shri Ram stated that a strike has been conducted in all mandals across the State. He reminded everyone that during the appointment of JPS, the Chief Minister and the government promised to regularize their jobs without any conditions. Even the appointment documents given stated that the jobs would be regularized after the three-year contract period.

The Federation of Telangana Panchayat Secretaries supports the demand of the Farooqnagar Mandal Junior Panchayat Secretaries. They are hoping that the government will take action soon to fulfill their promise.
