Nagarkurnool: Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has told the Irrigation Department officials to fix the pump house at the Vattem (Venkataadri) Reservoir. This pump house got submerged in water and is part of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
On Wednesday, the minister visited the site along with the irrigation department officials to check the situation. The officials informed the minister that they had managed to stop the floodwaters from entering the pump house through the audit tunnel.
The minister then instructed the officials to place motors near the tunnels. These motors should be used to drain out the water that has collected in the underground passage once the water flow stops.
