Gowtham Potru, an IAS officer, has been transferred from his position as in-charge Collector in Rangareddy district after only eight days. This transfer was part of a larger reshuffling of two dozen IAS officials by the State government. Interestingly, this is the second time that Gowtham Potru’s name has appeared in a transfer order in the past nine days.
Gowtham Potru was transferred along with other service officers on Wednesday. He was replaced by K Shashanka IAS. This transfer came after Bharathi Hollikeri, IAS, was transferred on December 24 and Gowtham Potru took over as Collector on December 25. Unfortunately, he was then transferred again after only serving for eight days.
During his short time as Collector, Gowtham Potru was busy organizing the Praja Palana programme, which is a project by the Congress government to address people’s grievances. However, there were some issues at the beginning of the programme, with complaints of discrepancies in form distribution from different areas of Rangareddy district.
