Karimnagar Police have made a significant breakthrough in the sensational PMJ Jewellers robbery case that had caused widespread panic among residents. The police have identified a five-member gang involved in the major heist and successfully arrested three accused, while an intensive search is underway for the remaining two fugitives. Karimnagar Commissioner of Police Ghaus Alam revealed that the investigation has uncovered the involvement of a Bihar-based gang in the high-profile jewellery theft.
The police investigation has expanded significantly, with authorities now identifying a total of 13 accused connected to the robbery operation. The mastermind behind the elaborate heist has been identified as Subodh Singh, who allegedly orchestrated the entire operation. The gang leader is currently absconding, and police teams have intensified efforts to apprehend him along with other fugitive members of the gang.
During the course of the investigation, Karimnagar Police seized a large quantity of gold jewellery from the arrested accused. The recovered items are believed to be part of the stolen goods from the PMJ Jewellers store. This recovery has provided crucial evidence linking the accused to the robbery and has helped investigators piece together the sequence of events leading to the theft.
Law enforcement officials also seized Rs 51,000 in cash, two mobile phones, two SIM cards, fake Aadhaar cards, and other crucial evidence during the investigation. These items are being examined forensically to establish the modus operandi of the gang and to trace their network. The fake identity documents suggest that the gang had planned the robbery meticulously and had taken measures to conceal their real identities.
The revelation that a Bihar gang leader’s hand is behind the robbery indicates the interstate nature of the crime. The gang appears to have operated across state boundaries, making the investigation more complex. Police sources indicate that the arrested accused are being interrogated to gather more information about the gang’s structure, their previous criminal activities, and the whereabouts of the absconding members.
The Karimnagar Police have launched an intensive manhunt for the remaining two fugitive accused and gang leader Subodh Singh. Multiple police teams have been deployed, and coordination with law enforcement agencies in other states has been established to track down the absconding criminals. The successful cracking of this case has brought relief to the residents of Karimnagar who were concerned about the brazen nature of the robbery.
