    On Friday, BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar performed Bhoomi Puja for the construction of the compound wall of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Back Word Classes Welfare Residential Women’s BSc Agriculture College in Mugdhumpur, Karimnagar Rural Mandal. The Minister announced that this is the first BC Agricultural Women’s College in the country, and with the blessings of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, classes will begin this year. The agriculture college requires a total of 75 acres of land, but currently, only 45 acres have been allotted, with another 30 acres to be allotted soon. The college aims to provide free agricultural education to BC students, without any financial burden. Only women will be admitted to Karimnagar Agricultural College, and 80% of the seats will be reserved for BC women, with the remaining 20% allotted to others. The college has already filled all its seats within an hour of the notification. The temporary building will be replaced with a permanent building by April end, with a budget of Rs. 27 crore. After completion within a year, classes and hostels will be started. The minister assured that with the cooperation of CM KCR, BA BCom BSC Computers and others will be introduced in the college, and it will be made into an Agricultural University. The minister also called on people to be alert to the conspiracies of Congress and BJP parties, who are spewing poison on Telangana’s development.
