Two tragic incidents happened in Huzurabad town early on Wednesday morning. In the first incident, two sanitation workers, Nalgonda Sammakka and Rachapalli Rajeshwari, were hit by a car while they were sweeping a road in Saidapur road. Sammakka died on the spot, while Rajeshwari was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Both were working on a contract basis for the Huzurabad municipality.
In the second incident, an unknown person was hit by a DCM van at SRSP canal in Huzurabad-Karimnagar road. The police arrived at the scene and took the body to a government hospital for post-mortem. A case was registered and an investigation is ongoing to determine the identity of the deceased.
