    Hyderabad: On Thursday, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha asked Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B R Naidu to let Banjara Peethadhipas from the Telugu states conduct rituals at the Tirupati Hathiram Bawaji Mutt in Tirumala.

    Kavitha, with several Banjara spiritual leaders from Telangana, met with Chairman B R Naidu in Hyderabad. As the President of Telangana Jagruthi, she urged him to permit Banjara priests to perform ceremonies at the Mutt for Hathiram Bawaji Jayanti on June 30 and organize the offering of Naivedyam.

    Chairman Naidu promised to hold a special meeting soon with Hathiram Bawaji Peetham administrators and tribal leaders. This meeting will decide on allowing these rituals and offerings at the Mutt.

    He also confirmed that special ceremonies and offerings would take place on Hathiram Bawaji’s birth anniversary.
