    KCR Compares Telangana Agitation to Freedom Struggle

    Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao compared the Telangana agitation to the Indian freedom struggle during the concluding ceremony of the ‘Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavalu.’

    KCR mentioned that there were people who opposed the formation of Telangana and supported unified rule, but now they are trying to teach lessons about the Telangana movement.

    He highlighted that the Telangana agitation was carried out peacefully, despite the presence of pessimists who believed that a separate state was unnecessary. These individuals tried to mislead the public but failed.

    KCR praised the governance of the BRS government and stated that Telangana has become a role model for the country. The state successfully solved the agrarian crisis and implemented schemes like Rythu Bandhu for the benefit of farmers.

    The Chief Minister also expressed his admiration for India’s struggle for independence, which he described as one of the greatest struggles in world history. He emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.

    KCR mentioned that India’s diverse culture was united through the freedom struggle and highlighted the roles played by Swamy Vivekananda, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru.

    He stated that the government showed the film Gandhi to school children to educate them about Mahatma Gandhi’s involvement in the freedom struggle. The CM also mentioned that the government is focused on overall development, including agriculture, industries, IT sector, tribal development, and welfare of marginalized communities.

    In conclusion, KCR affirmed that his government will continue working towards development and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
