In Hyderabad, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has been in jail for a month due to the Delhi liquor scam. Her brother KTR, husband, and mother Shobha have visited her, but her father KCR has not. This has caused speculation in political circles.
Kavitha was arrested by ED officials from her home in Banjara Hills on March 15. She has been in Tihar Jail for 20 days and was recently arrested by the CBI for three days of interrogation. Her custody will end on Monday, after which she will return to Tihar Jail.
On Monday, Kavitha will be presented at Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi at 10 am. The CBI may ask for an extension of her custody. If not, Kavitha may file a bail petition.
