    Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid tribute to Dr B R Ambedkar on his 134th birth anniversary by offering flowers at a statue on Tank Bund in Hyderabad. He was joined by Secunderabad MP candidate Danam Nagender, Khairatabad DCC president C Rohin Reddy, Khairatabad Corporator P Vijaya Reddy, and other leaders. Revanth praised Ambedkar for his efforts in empowering marginalized communities and women, framing the constitution, and inspiring future generations.

    Ambedkar’s contributions to laying a strong foundation for the country’s development were also acknowledged by Revanth. The CM emphasized the importance of striving for personal goals, drawing inspiration from Ambedkar’s legacy. The Telangana government is focused on implementing initiatives for the progress of SCs, STs, and backward communities to make the state a model for Dalit upliftment.

    Congress party leaders across the State commemorated Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, with senior figures paying respects at Gandhi Bhavan. Former MP V Hanumantha Rao continued his campaign to install a statue of Ambedkar at Madina X Roads in Old City, after a previous attempt was thwarted by authorities who erected their own statue at Goshamahal police stadium.

    Rao’s persistence in seeking permission to place the statue highlights ongoing efforts to honor Ambedkar’s legacy and promote equality among communities in the region.
