Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) plans to take legal action against the findings of the Justice P C Ghose Commission. The commission has accused him of irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project and damage to the Medigadda, Sundilla, and Annaram barrages.

KCR, leader of the BRS, held a crucial meeting at his farmhouse with senior members like T Harish Rao and B Vinod Kumar. They discussed the commission’s report, a court decision on the disqualification of 10 BRS legislators who switched to the ruling Congress, and an upcoming public meeting in Karimnagar about the BC quota. Party leaders believe the commission unfairly singled out KCR.

The BRS plans to challenge the commission’s findings in the Supreme Court. They argue that the commission made its conclusions without properly examining the statements from irrigation officials, which they claim is necessary. The party hopes the court will overturn what they see as baseless allegations.

KCR has instructed the legal team to push for the disqualification of the defected MLAs by filing more petitions in the Supreme Court. Previously, the court had ordered the Assembly Speaker to act against these MLAs for joining Congress. Doubting the Speaker’s response, KCR wants the court to ensure the 10 legislators are disqualified.

He also urged party leaders to ensure the success of the upcoming public meeting on the BC quota by gathering strong support from the BC community. KCR aims to challenge the ruling Congress and warn of potential political unrest if the government fails to deliver a promised 42% quota for BCs in local elections.
