The Cyberabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for Khajaguda Junction due to major water pipeline works scheduled to begin soon. The restrictions will come into effect from 26 September 2026 and will remain in place for a period of 60 days. The advisory was issued by the Office of the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad under reference number 227/T4/Traffic Admin/Cyb/2026 dated 22 September 2026.
The traffic restrictions have been necessitated by the execution of 900 mm and 1000 mm diameter water pipeline works at Khajaguda Junction. As part of the restrictions, the service road and free left movement from KIMS Hospital towards Nanakramguda Road will be temporarily closed. Additionally, the right-turn movement for traffic coming from the Bio-diversity side towards Nanakramguda Road at Khajaguda Junction will also be closed during this period.
The traffic police have announced three alternate routes to ease congestion. Traffic coming from Shaikpet flyover towards Khajaguda will be diverted through Timberlake colony road before KIMS Hospital and connected towards Nanakramguda road. Vehicles coming from under the Shaikpet flyover will be diverted through the High-tension road, thereby avoiding the affected stretch. Traffic from Gachibowli/Biodiversity Level-1 flyover side will be diverted at Pakwan U-turn and routed through Khajaguda Lake road towards the Khajaguda side.
The traffic police have specifically requested IT employees and regular commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternate routes for safer commute. Traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Khajaguda Junction during the entire duration of the pipeline works. The advisory has been circulated to various authorities including the Station House Officer of Raidurgam Traffic Police Station, ACP Madhapur Traffic Division, and the Traffic Command and Control Centre for implementation.
The Public Relations Officer, Cyberabad has been directed to circulate the advisory to both print and electronic media as well as FM stations for wide publicity. The advisory has also been shared with IT companies through the SCSC, Cyberabad to ensure maximum awareness among employees working in the area. The general public have been requested to cooperate with Cyberabad Traffic Police in ensuring free flow of traffic during this period.
