Khammam District Collector VP Gautham Orders CCTV Camera Installation in Polling Stations

District Collector VP Gautham emphasized the need for CCTV cameras inside and outside polling stations during a meeting with election officials. He highlighted the importance of error-free operations and instructed AROs and police officers to assess polling stations for necessary facilities and security measures.

The Collector also directed the completion of counting centre arrangements before the arrival of election observers. Additional sectors were established to accommodate up to 12 polling stations each, following Election Commission guidelines. Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt discussed strict measures to prevent illegal cash and liquor distribution during the election period, urging police officers to maintain a respectful attitude while on duty.

The meeting included officials like Additional Collectors, Municipal Commissioner, and others. The district’s deployment plan involved various types of check posts to ensure security and compliance with election regulations.
