Things got exciting at the new Collectorate in Khammam as the staff celebrated Bathukamma festivities with a twist. To reflect the upcoming general elections, the celebrations at the campus focused on the ‘Sweep’ program. Women officers, staff, Anganwadi teachers, supervisors, and CDPOs played Bathukamma while promoting the importance of the ‘right to vote’ and the use of vote through slogans. They also played cards and sang songs related to voting. Children also participated, dressed in bright colors and enjoying the informative atmosphere.

Collector VP Gautham emphasized the importance of exercising the right to vote during elections, which are like festivals across the country. He urged people to vote ethically without being influenced by money or temptation. The collector suggested conducting a large-scale campaign on the C Whistle app to raise awareness among young and educated individuals and encourage them to download it. The goal is to fulfill the social responsibility of conducting effective elections without the influence of money.
