BRS Party Khanapur MLA Ajmira Rekha Naik has joined the Congress party after not receiving a ticket from the ruling party. She expressed her emotions and stated that the people of the constituency will always support her. MLA Rekha Naik applied for the Khanapur ticket to the Congress party and sent her application to Gandhi Bhavan for examination. This move by the BRS MLA has become a topic of discussion across the state.

Rekha Naik had previously won as MLA from Khanapur in 2014 and 2018 on a BRS ticket. She was hopeful of receiving a ministerial post in the ST quota after winning the previous assembly elections, but was disappointed when she didn’t get the post. She expressed surprise at not receiving the party ticket this time and vowed to show her strength in Khanapur and seek revenge on BRS.

Rekha Naik claimed that she was sidelined by the party and stated that the party high command would be forced to give her a ministerial berth if she wins for the third term, which they do not like. BRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister KCR reacted to her absence in the party’s list of candidates. The Khanapur candidate announced by the party alleged that Johnson Naik is not a real ST, indirectly challenging the party leadership by stating that she will show her strength in Khanapur.

Rekha Naik criticized the party and government for giving posts to the top castes. The dissatisfaction among sitting MLAs and aspirants who did not find a place in the party’s list of candidates is growing. It is rumored that Rekha Naik will join the Congress party after not receiving the ticket, and her husband was seen wearing a Congress scarf to further support this rumor. Rekha Naik stated that she will contact the people of the constituency and her followers to announce future actions.
