The AICC chief, Mallikarjun Kharge, addressed the people of Hyderabad on Saturday. He mentioned that without the support of the Congress party and Sonia Gandhi’s concern for the people of Telangana, the separate state would not have become a reality. He criticized KCR, stating that he does not have the capacity to make it happen.

Kharge also accused KCR of going back on his word to support the Congress after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He claimed that KCR, who claims to be secular, had a secret understanding with the BJP and is in regular touch with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Kharge pointed out that KCR remained silent when 26 parties united to defeat the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
