Hyderabad: On Sunday, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy joined locals in Borabanda to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio talk, Mann Ki Baat. This event showcased Modi’s connection with the people, attracting many party workers, community leaders, and citizens eager to hear his message.
Leaders highlighted how Mann Ki Baat allows direct communication between the Prime Minister and the public. One speaker noted that no other leader in the world engages with citizens as regularly and meaningfully as Modi does, emphasizing his focus on inclusive national progress.
This month’s program featured the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a cleanliness drive Modi started in 2014. He stressed the importance of clean surroundings for health and dignity, especially for women. Modi reminded listeners that building millions of toilets was one of his first actions as Prime Minister.
The broadcast also honored Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his role in integrating Hyderabad into India through Operation Polo. This historic event will be celebrated on Hyderabad Liberation Day, September 17. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is expected at the celebrations in Secunderabad Parade Grounds. The day overlaps with Prime Minister Modi’s birthday and Vishwakarma Diwas, now celebrated as National Labor Day, honoring workers and artisans. Three key events are planned in Telangana to mark the occasion.
Speakers at the gathering talked about Modi’s journey from the son of a tea seller to India’s Prime Minister, focusing on his dedication to public service. They criticized opposition leaders for not fulfilling promises in Telangana, especially concerning women and unemployed youth. The event ended with a call for citizens to stay involved in initiatives that promote unity and development. The Borabanda meeting highlighted the lasting impact of Mann Ki Baat in encouraging civic participation and Modi’s direct public engagement.
