Hyderabad: Telangana BJP President and Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, praised the Sikh community for their sacrifices for their religion and for the country.
He was speaking during Baisakhi Day celebrations, which mark the Sikh New Year. Kishan Reddy visited the Sikh prayer hall, or Gurdwara, in Ameerpet and took part in the prayers.
He highlighted the hard work of the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee in Ameerpet, saying they have been celebrating Baisakhi in a grand way for many years. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had once visited the same Gurdwara and showed great respect for the occasion.
