Hyderabad, 16 December 2025: KLH Aziz Nagar Campus successfully organized IDEA Expo 2025, an innovation showcase that brought together first-year engineering students to display their creative projects and prototypes. The event was organized by the Design Thinking and Innovation (DTI) Team of the Freshman Engineering Department.
The expo provided a platform for students from the Y25 batch to demonstrate their innovative concepts and working prototypes. The event emphasized innovation-driven education, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences for young engineering minds.
Students presented projects spanning multiple domains including agriculture, healthcare, artificial intelligence, information technology, and social innovation. The exhibits demonstrated strong interdisciplinary collaboration and technical skills, reflecting the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
The event witnessed participation from distinguished academicians and industry professionals. Mr. Mihir Kumar Parial, Vice Chairman of Ekalavya Foundation, Dr. P. Srinivasulu, Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR–IICT, and Dr. P. Sudharshanam, Professor at IIT Hyderabad graced the occasion with their presence.
A panel comprising external and internal jury members, including senior faculty and domain experts, evaluated the student projects. The jury members appreciated the originality and real-world relevance of the innovations presented. They commended students for their clarity of thought and execution quality.
Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President of KL Deemed to be University, shared his message emphasizing the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation from the first year of engineering education. He highlighted that platforms like IDEA Expo are crucial in developing students into confident problem-solvers and future entrepreneurs.
He stated that KLH is dedicated to creating an ecosystem where student ideas are encouraged, mentored, and transformed into impactful solutions with global relevance. The institution aims to nurture future-ready engineers and innovation leaders through such initiatives.
The successful execution of IDEA Expo 2025 was made possible through collaborative efforts of the Management, Principal Dr. A. Ramakrishna, the R&D Department, Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell, faculty members, staff, and student volunteers.
The event created an innovation-centric atmosphere on campus, motivating young minds and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to experiential learning. The expo demonstrated how first-year students can contribute meaningfully to solving real-world challenges through technical innovation and creative thinking.
The showcase featured functional prototypes that reflected technical proficiency and practical applicability across various sectors. Students received valuable insights and mentorship from the expert panel, helping them refine their ideas and understand industry requirements.
