Former MLA Venepalli Chandra Rao, constituency in-charge Kanmanth Reddy Sasidhar Reddy, and Yerneni Venkataratnam Babu, along with their supporters, arrived in Hyderabad on Friday. They are opposing the decision to give the ticket to Kodada sitting MLA Bollam Mallaiah Yadav.
On Thursday, Bollam tried to reconcile with Chandra Rao, but his attempt was unsuccessful as Rao refused to even meet him. Upon learning that Bollam was coming to his house on Friday, Sasidhar Reddy and the dissidents went to Hyderabad, rejecting any possibility of reconciliation with Yadav. They are urging the party leaders to reconsider giving the ticket to Bollam as they believe it will result in the party losing the election. Bollam is facing increasing pressure as his opponents strongly oppose his candidacy.
It is reported that Bollam is planning to seek intervention from party leaders in order to address the dissension within the party against him.
