The Green India Challenge, led by BRS MP J Santosh Kumar, had a successful event at the Kondagattu forest area. Over 1000 students from JNTU, along with Santosh Kumar, ministers, and public representatives, planted 1000 saplings at the Lord Anjaneya Swami temple in Jagtial district. Santosh Kumar thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his support in rebuilding the temple in the green surroundings of the forest area. The goal is to make the temple a leading spiritual center while preserving its natural beauty.

Santosh Kumar had previously announced that the forest area near the temple would be adopted and developed through the Green India Challenge. With an allocation of Rs 1.04 crore from MP funds, various initiatives were taken such as building a protective fence, walking track, watchtower, gazebos, and restoring the forest area around the temple. The Green India Challenge aims to inspire individuals and communities to contribute to environmental preservation and create a sustainable future.
