Rangareddy District, Telangana – The local administration is launching a major outreach effort to spread awareness about the Bhu Bharati Act, a key initiative focused on land rights and property records.
Starting May 5 and running through May 20, a series of public meetings called Bhu Bharati Revenue Conferences will take place across villages in Kondurg Mandal. These events aim to educate people about the new law and address their land-related concerns.
District Collector C Narayan Reddy is leading the effort. He has directed tahsildars to organize the conferences effectively and ensure people have access to accurate information. The goal is to help residents understand how the new Act can resolve their land issues.
“As per government orders, these awareness meetings will happen in every mandal statewide. We’ve chosen Kondurg as the first location to test the approach,” said Reddy.
During the events, officials will accept applications from villagers who face land disputes or problems with their records. Two dedicated teams have been formed in Kondurg to handle these cases and begin solutions based on the new rules.
To reach as many people as possible, the administration is using posters and banners for promotion. A help desk will also be set up at each venue to guide residents through the process.
Officials must be present at the sites from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. They are instructed to carry all necessary land records and documents to assist the public quickly and efficiently.
The initiative reflects the government’s push to bring reforms directly to the villages and make land management more transparent and accessible through the Bhu Bharati programme.
