Hyderabad: BRS Working President KT Rama Rao criticized the Congress Party on Sunday for a Twitter post claiming that 40 lakh farmers in Telangana had their loans waived off.

The Congress tweet featured a photograph of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with a slogan that read, “Jo kaha woh kiya, 40 lakh kisano ka karz maaf” (Did what was promised. Loans of 40 lakh farmers waived).”

In response, KT Rama Rao said, “Just like your AI-generated image, the number you mentioned is also AI (Anumula Intelligence) generated.” He pointed out that not even 22 lakh farmer loans, which is less than 40% of what was claimed, have been waived so far.

KTR further added that the rules and dates for the loan waivers keep changing. He also accused Revanth Reddy of failing to keep his promise to farmers, even in his own native village and constituency. According to KTR, the only thing consistent about the Congress government is “lies and fake propaganda.”
