Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS party, criticized the State government on Sunday for its poor handling of the flood situation in Telangana.
Rao expressed his concerns on social media platform X, describing the government’s response as “appalling.” He highlighted that the situation in Khammam is particularly bad. Despite there being three ministers from Khammam, he pointed out that there has been no help provided to the people in the area. Frustrated with the lack of assistance, the public in Khammam’s three town area took to the streets, demanding basic help and support.
In a separate message, Rao advised the people of Telangana to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. He urged everyone to take care of children and the elderly, and to avoid staying near temporary structures or old buildings. Rao also called on BRS party leaders, workers, and public representatives to be alert, participate in relief efforts, and assist communities affected by the floods.
