Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS, spoke at a gathering at Telangana Bhavan where some Congress leaders joined the party. He responded to Rahul Gandhi’s statement about the election being a fight between people and ‘doralu’ by saying it was actually a fight between ‘Delhi doralu’ and the people of Telangana.

Rama Rao mentioned that Telangana had suffered for 56 years due to the forced merger with Andhra Pradesh by Rahul’s grandfather Nehru. He pointed out that many lives were lost and sacrifices were made for Telangana because of Rahul Gandhi’s grandmother and the ‘Delhi doralu’. The Congress party had no choice but to give Telangana statehood.

Rama Rao stated that they had fought against the Congress ‘doralu’ in the past and now they are fighting against another ‘dora’, referring to BJP’s Modi. He emphasized that Telangana would never bow down to Delhi’s arrogance. Rama Rao also criticized Rahul Gandhi for talking about corruption while standing next to someone accused of buying votes. He accused Rahul Gandhi of reading scripts written by others.
