BRS Working President KTR attended the ‘Street Cause – Shaping the Next Generation Leaders’ event in Hyderabad, where he announced a financial contribution of Rs 17 lakh to support the NGO’s ongoing initiatives. The event brought together over 300 Gen Z volunteers, coordinators, and senior leadership members from more than 50 colleges across the city, marking a significant engagement between youth leadership and political governance.

During the event, KTR formally came on board as an Advisor to Street Cause, extending his guidance and support toward building socially conscious leaders. He also launched ‘donate.streetcause’, a dedicated donations and subscription-based platform aimed at enabling sustained support for the organization’s various social impact initiatives. The platform was officially unveiled to reinforce the organization’s commitment towards building a scalable and sustainable model for community development.

The leadership event featured an engaging and insightful interaction with KTR, focusing on critical themes including leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, and youth-driven nation-building. He shared reflections from his personal journey, including childhood experiences and candid moments that shaped his leadership outlook. KTR spoke extensively about the development of Hyderabad and emphasized the crucial role of young individuals in becoming changemakers and contributing meaningfully to the nation’s growth.

A key highlight of the event was an in-depth discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its growing impact in today’s world. KTR emphasized the importance of adapting to emerging technologies and encouraged students to build relevant skills to stay future-ready. He stressed that understanding and leveraging technology would be essential for the next generation of leaders to address contemporary challenges effectively.

One of the most engaging segments was the “Myth vs Fact” session, where common perceptions held by Gen Z about politicians were openly discussed. Participants shared widely held beliefs, which were candidly addressed by KTR, offering grounded insights into the realities of governance and public life. This session fostered a transparent and informed dialogue between the political leader and young volunteers, helping bridge the gap between perception and reality.

The event also featured interactive segments such as a Mock Shark Tank Pitch, where KTR assumed the role of a venture capitalist, evaluating innovative ideas presented by student volunteers. Adding a creative and cultural dimension to the event, a student volunteer presented a rap performance dedicated to KTR, capturing his leadership journey and contributions in an engaging and contemporary format, which resonated strongly with the audience.

The Rs 17 lakh contribution announced by KTR symbolically represents the organization’s 17-year journey of impact and service. The event concluded with a recognition ceremony, where volunteers were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions towards community development and social impact. The recognition highlighted the dedication and commitment of young volunteers who have been instrumental in driving the organization’s mission forward.

Established in 2009, Street Cause has been at the forefront of student-driven social impact, having completed over 15,000 projects with an expenditure exceeding Rs 6 crores. The organization has positively impacted 1.3 million individuals and 1,000 animals. With a strong network of 4,000 active volunteers and a 45,000 alumni base, the organization has expanded into a national-level NGO with a presence across multiple cities in India.
