BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticized the Election Commission of India for imposing a 48-hour ban on party Chief K Chandrashekar Rao. He accused the EC of working under BJP’s directions and questioned why no action was taken against party leaders using Lord Ram’s pictures in campaigns.
Rama Rao challenged the EC to take action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy if they are truly autonomous. He highlighted BJP leaders’ focus on religion and caste, with PM Modi making hate speech involving religion. Despite complaints from citizens, the EC did not act against PM Modi but sent a notice to BJP chief JP Nadda instead.
Expressing frustration, Rama Rao criticized the EC for not being impartial and accused them of serving the interests of certain political parties. He mentioned filing 27 complaints with no action taken, except for a mild reprimand to Minister Konda Surekha.
Rama Rao urged the public to respond to BJP and Congress through their votes, criticizing the arrest of party leader M Krishank for exposing a forged document presented by CM. He challenged to go to jail if the circular shown by Krishank was fake, and called for Revanth Reddy to face consequences if sharing a forged document.
Overall, Rama Rao emphasized the need for accountability and fair treatment in the electoral process.
