Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, will meet with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday. The ACB is investigating alleged irregularities in the Formula E Race held in Hyderabad during Rao’s tenure as minister. They have summoned him for questioning at 10 am. Rao had previously been called for questioning on May 28, but he was on a foreign trip then.
Rao has already participated in inquiries by both the ACB and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding the race. On January 8, he was questioned for seven hours.
The ACB is looking into a scam involving Rs 55 crore. Besides Rao, IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former HMDA engineer BLN Reddy are also accused in the case.
