Hyderabad will see a special event at the 85th All-India Industrial Exhibition, also known as Numaish, on Tuesday, January 6. This day, known as “Ladies Day,” allows only women and boys under 10 to enter, continuing a tradition started by the seventh Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan, in 1940 to encourage Muslim women to attend.
The event will start at 4:30 pm at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally. Dr. K Shilpavalli, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Central Zone, will be the chief guest.
The exhibition, which began on January 1, was inaugurated by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu. It features 1,250 stalls selling a wide range of products, including handicrafts, electronics, clothing, home items, footwear, and jewelry from all over the country.
Each year, Numaish attracts nearly 20 lakh visitors. It showcases Hyderabadi craftsmanship with stalls from states like Kashmir, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, offering a diverse experience for attendees.
