In Nampally, Nalgonda district, a long-running land conflict in Nerellapalli village has worsened because of issues with the Dharani land records portal. This has led to violent clashes between two groups.

A local farmer, Shivarla Narasimh, had been farming 33 guntas of land, which was originally registered in his name. However, after the Dharani portal was implemented, the land was officially recorded under Mukkamala Narasimh. This change sparked a dispute.

Though ownership arguments have happened before, tensions rose significantly this farming season. Mukkamala claimed legal rights to the land as shown in the Dharani records and allegedly stopped Shivarla from accessing it.

These disagreements, frequent during farming seasons, turned physical this time. Members of both groups reportedly attacked each other, resulting in three people sustaining head injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
