Osmania University in Hyderabad celebrated a major milestone by laying the foundation stone for the Osmania Foundation Bhavan. This ceremony marked the beginning of an important project with enthusiasm and respect.
The event was attended by various dignitaries including the Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, Prof. D. Ravinder, and other esteemed guests. The Osmania Foundation was established in 2022 to connect the university with its alumni and provide a platform for engagement. It operates under a Board of Directors chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and focuses on alumni initiatives, stakeholder connections, and fundraising for development projects.
The Osmania Foundation Bhavan is designed to be a symbol of tradition and community, offering modern facilities and a welcoming environment. It will serve as a cultural center and provide opportunities for alumni to connect with students through skill development and mentoring services. The infrastructure is being planned to facilitate these interactions.
Spanning 1.6 acres, the Osmania Foundation House will have world-class amenities spread across a two-storied RCC structure. The budget for this project is approximately Rs. 10.16 Crore. Prof. D. Ravinder expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of the foundation members, emphasizing Osmania University’s commitment to community, collaboration, and progress in education and beyond.
