Legacy of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao honored in Khammam

Telangana State’s IT and Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao, inaugurated a statue of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) in Khammam. The event took place at Lakaram Tank Bund and also included the inauguration of a newly-constructed park. The project cost Rs 1.37 crores.

During his speech, Minister KTR emphasized the significance of NTR in Telugu history. He compared NTR to revered figures like Rama and Krishna, highlighting the profound impact he had on the collective consciousness of Telugu people. Minister KTR expressed gratitude for the opportunity to unveil NTR’s statue, mentioning his own privilege in sharing the name Taraka Rama Rao.

Minister KTR also praised Chief Minister KCR for championing Telangana’s existence throughout the nation. He assured the gathering that Chief Minister KCR would achieve remarkable success, potentially surpassing NTR’s historic electoral victories in South India.
