Khammam: The Lions Club of Khammam honored young volunteer Abhi Bathula from New Jersey, USA, for his contributions. On Sunday, the club, along with Abhi, organized a program to distribute solar panels and lights to five Anganwadi centers in G Nacharam, Nookalampadu, Enkoor I, AP Thanda, and Nacharam II.

Dr. Bathula Janakiramaiah and Dr. Bathula Sarojini, Abhi’s grandparents, continued their efforts to bring solar energy to these centers in Khammam district. This initiative supports early childhood education and sustainable growth. Previously, they installed solar systems in ten centers. The positive outcomes led the Lions Club to expand the project to five additional centers.
