    The Mulugu Lions Club of Mulugu District, in collaboration with Gangishetti Satyanarayana Iron Hardware, has been distributing clay Ganapati idols for the past nine years. This year, 250 clay Ganesha idols were distributed by the Indian Red Cross Society and another 250 clay idols were distributed by the Lions Club of Mulugu.

    As part of environmental protection, people are being educated about the benefits of using clay Ganapatis instead of color ones. The Mulugu district DMHO and Indian Red Cross Chairman, Dr. Allam Appiah, and Mulugu DSP Ravinder participated in the distribution program as chief guests and handed out clay Ganapati idols to the people.

    They emphasized that worshiping and immersing clay Ganapati does not pollute the air and water, unlike color Ganapatis which can harm the environment. They encouraged everyone to worship and immerse the earthen Ganesha for a cleaner environment.

    The members of the Lions Club and the Indian Red Cross Society were felicitated for their efforts in organizing the clay Ganapati idol distribution program for the past nine years.

    Several dignitaries and members of both organizations, including Vice Chairman Gangishetti Srinivas and Secretary Chunchu Ramesh, were present at the event.
