Liquor lorry intercepted in Wanaparthy after attempted escape

A liquor lorry carrying 170 cottons of Royal Stag was stopped by police in Wanaparthy district. The incident was reported by locals who followed the lorry through Chinnamandadi and informed the Superintendent of Police. The contraband, valued at Rs 20.4 lakhs, was found in the vehicle. The lorry, which came from Veerayapalli village, was taken to Peddamandadi police station for further investigation.

Peddamandadi’s Sub-Inspector, Hariprasad, provided details of the operation, stating that Excise officials and Special Task Force (STF) personnel worked together. A case has been registered, and an investigation is ongoing.
