A low-pressure area has formed near the coasts of North Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. This system extends up to 7.6 km above the ground. The Meteorological Department warns it might intensify into a depression in the northwest-central and nearby west-central Bay of Bengal. It could impact the south Odisha and north Andhra coast by the 26th of this month, with landfall expected by the 27th.
