Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, Vishisht Seva Medal, is now the Commandant of Military College of Electronics & Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad and the 75th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME. He comes from a family with a background in education, as his father was a professor at Gurukul Kangri University in Haridwar.
Before assuming his new role, General Varshney paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the EME War Memorial in Secunderabad. He previously served as the commandant of EME School in Vadodara. General Varshney is a graduate of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and has completed various military courses, including at the Defence Services Staff College and Army War College.
Throughout his career, General Varshney has commanded troops in different regions and held various leadership positions. He has also worked in intelligence and logistics roles within the military. In addition to his military experience, General Varshney holds five Master’s degrees in fields such as Technology, Business Administration, and Strategic Management.
