The Centre has given Y Plus category security to Madhavi Latha, the BJP candidate for Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat. She is running against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Madhavi Latha now has 11 security personnel, including six CRPF officers and five guards at her residence. BJP MLA Raja Singh has been pushing for her security.
In the past, when Bandi Sanjay was the BJP Telangana president, he requested Central forces security but was denied. This has caused controversy within the BJP, as now Madhavi Latha, who recently joined the party, has been given security by the government.
