Hyderabad: PCC President B Mahesh Kumar Goud criticized the BRS party for questioning the Congress on its commitment to implementing a 42% reservation for BCs.
He pointed out that BRS has been in power for a decade without addressing the increase in BC reservations. He accused leaders like MLC K Kavitha of being distracted by scandals, such as the liquor case, instead of focusing on important social issues. Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, he urged the media to question Kavitha, who has been in Tihar Jail, about her efforts for BC reservations.
Mocking her statements, the Congress MLC noted that people in Telangana are amused by her comments. He questioned her loyalty, asking if she even knows which party she supports. He highlighted that BRS has previously backed the BJP on several bills but is now unwilling to praise the Congress’s decision to boost BC reservations. Mahesh Kumar Goud criticized KCR for staying silent on this decision, which aims to benefit BCs. He also mentioned that the BJP shows no genuine interest in supporting BCs, as the Center has not responded to the BC reservation increase bill.
