A vibrant celebration took place at the Sri Mahashakti Temple in Karimnagar on Wednesday. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar led the burning of Mahishasura’s effigy, symbolizing good’s victory over evil during Dasara. Many devotees gathered to see this reenactment of Goddess Durga’s triumph. BJP state president Ramachander Rao joined the Rudra Sahit Chandi Yagam on the tenth day of the Sri Devi Navratri events.
As the effigy burned, people chanted “Jai Durga Bhavani,” filling the air with spiritual energy. This ritual marked the tenth day of Sri Devi Navratri, highlighted by the Rudra Sahit Chandi Yagam performed by the Union Minister and his wife.
In his speech, Bandi Sanjay Kumar highlighted the importance of Dasara, describing it as the “ultimate victory of Dharma over injustice and chaos.” He noted that the festival reminds us of the enduring strength of righteousness and the importance of upholding moral values in society. Burning the Mahishasura effigy is a traditional part of Dasara, symbolizing the defeat of evil and the return of peace and justice. The temple, famous for its lively Navratri celebrations, was beautifully decorated and hosted various spiritual programs throughout the day.
