Hyderabad: Residents of Mallepally raised alarms about illegal drug activities, prompting local leader AIMIM Nampally MLA Mohammed Majid Hussain to visit the area. Accompanied by the local Circle Inspector, he demanded an immediate halt to the narcotics trade.
People in areas like Sadath Ground and Mujahed Ground are worried. Drug dealers are disrupting peace and putting the youth at risk. The MLA responded to these concerns, and locals welcomed his efforts.
Majid Hussain instructed the CI, “No more ganja trade here from today.” He stressed the need for strict police action to make Mallepally a drug-free zone.
To boost security, the MLA promised to use his own funds to install CCTV cameras in sensitive spots around Mallepally.
Community members felt relieved. “We’ve lived in fear, seeing young boys fall into addiction. We hope this crackdown makes a difference,” a Sadath Ground resident shared.
The MLA’s actions are part of a larger effort to tackle drug issues in Hyderabad. Citizens and activists are urging the police to maintain regular patrols and make arrests to break up the drug network.
