A man killed his sick mother and buried her because he felt she was a burden. Chinna Balayya killed his 80-year-old mother, E Balavva, by strangling her with a piece of cloth. He then buried her in a deserted place behind a rice mill. Balayya told his neighbours that his mother had gone missing, but a local public representative grew suspicious and reported it to the police. The police investigation revealed that Balayya had killed his mother. He confessed to the crime, saying that she had become too much for him to take care of.
The police extricated Balavva’s body on Monday and sent it for autopsy. The Circle Inspector Raman said that they had arrested Balayya and were continuing their investigations.
